The Namibian Academy for Tourism and Hospitality was established by the Tourism Industry and MET as their mobile training provider in 1994. It has, since then served the industry as their reliable training partner through the provision of affordable, mobile, demand driven pre- and in-service training programs in line with national quality standards.
NATH through the input of its members has actively supported the establishment of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) under the auspice of the Namibian Qualifications Authority (NQA). It has recently expanded its services and now, is one of the first training providers to offer outcome based hospitality training in line with national (NQF) standards. Presently NATH is developing its own team of assessors to be in a position to offer formal assessment services once the national assessment systems have been finalized.
NATH is a proud member of the Federation of Namibian Tourism Associations (FENATA) and has been acknowledged by the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) as official academy for tour guide training. It has a proven track record of distinguished service to the industry and aims to remain the training provider of choice to Namibians in the tourism industry.
